For Kids & Teens
Storytelling in Dance workshops
Storytelling In Dance Workshops for kids and teens is offered in two 4-week workshops and will explore each dancers' own self-expression and ways to tell a story through dance. Both of the 4-part workshops are a space where students learn and create techniques of articulation, presentation, performance, non-verbal storytelling, and creative expression. Our youth have so much to say and we could all benefit to watch, listen, and learn. My hope is that students leave these workshops feeling more empowered to speak up and tell their stories in new and creative ways.
- Workshops are designed for students ages 10-15 years old with varying dance experience -
Dancers do not need to participate in both workshops consecutively but we will use the toolkit from Part 1 (Storytelling Toolbox) as we make our stories come to life in Part 2 (Create)

Toolbox
4 weeks of 1hr/week classes
$40-$100 sliding scale for 4 weeks
First session - Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm
January 12, 19, 26 + February 2
In this workshop we will build a toolkit of performance and storytelling methods in the art of dance. The class will begin with a warm up that gets our bodies and brains ready to move, learn, and create. Then we’ll learn choreography that fits in different spaces. Through the choreography we’ll explore each dancers' own self-expression, understanding of movement qualities, musicality, and other tools of expression. Each class will include time for students to share constructive and positive feedback with each other as they learn together. Please wear flexible clothes and bare feet.

Testimonials
FROM A PARENT:
“For the past eight weeks, Noga & Zohar had taken Storytelling in dance parts 1 & 2, with Molly Levy. Noga also took a class with her during Jam Camp in summer. That's how we knew she can zoom dance classes well. I arranged my time and clients, so I can get to watch them dance together. That's how good it was. Molly is inspiring to work with, energetic, and is able to match the kids' energy, even via Zoom (which is not an easy task). It was a pleasure and a wonder to watch what the three of them create together.”
- Shirley ShaniFROM STUDENTS:
“Molly taught us real tools to create with. We could come in any mood, be crazy fun or seriously working, and she matched us. She did not judge us, and tailored the lesson to us. She let us take our time when we created.”
- Noga“This was super fun. Those who didn't take lessons with Molly, really missed out! She also shared a really good book to dance with. This was super creative and spontaneous.”
- Zohar

Private & Semi-Private Lessons
$75/hour for private lessons
Sliding scale $40-$60/hr per person for semi-privates (2-3 people)
For kids, teens, and adult dancers looking to deepen their understanding of technique and use of artistry in specific forms. I teach private lessons in ballet, contemporary movement, floorwork, and improvisation, with an emphasis on both anatomical technique and self-expression.
Private sessions are also available to adults who are new to dance and looking to develop a direct connection with their body in movement in a one-on-one or small group session.
I also offer private lessons and workshops to actors and artists in other disciplines interested in exploring approaches to movement and/or specific dance techniques.
These sessions will be tailored to your needs and goals. We’ll talk briefly over the phone or zoom before we first meet so that I can plan and prepare what we’ll work on together.
